Microsoft System Center 2012 SP1 Update Rollup 1

Today Microsoft released the first update roll-up for the System Center 2012 SP1 suite. A pretty quick release from Microsoft seeing as SP1 isn’t yet available to Joe Public and the whole System Center 2012 suite hasn’t been available for a year yet.

I think this shows 2 things from Microsoft:

  • There are still a number of bugs etc that need sorting in System Center 2012
  • Microsoft are investing a lot of time and effort into this product suite

I’ve personally noticed a few of the bugs pre-SP1, some of which are a problem and some aren’t. If Microsoft continue to patch this quickly I think the product suite will be rock solid in no time and customers should have no fears of moving or upgrading to System Center 2012.

The updates only cover some of the System Center products:

  • App Controller
  • Data Protection Manager
  • Operations Manager
  • Orchestrator (Service Provider Foundation)
  • Virtual Machine Manager
