Speaking: WMUG event with David James

In a couple of weeks I’ll be in London back with the WMUG gang where we are hosting a day of Configuration Manager with our very special guest David James who is the Director of Engineering for Configuration Manager at Microsoft in Redmond. This promises to be a great day and I’ll also be doing a short speaking session along with Robert Marshall, Gerry Hampson and Paul Winstanley. Check out the agenda and session summaries for the day here:

The agenda will be as follows:

  • 09:00 Brief introduction from Parallels and WMUG

  • 15:00 Break
  • 15:15 David James “DJam” and ConfigMgr
  • 17:00 Wrap up

Presentation summaries:

  • Windows 10 Autopilot for frequent fliers – Paul Winstanley and Gerry Hampson
    • Join Captain Hampson and First Officer Winstanley as they take you on a flight into the Cloud to configure the latest Windows 10 release. Put your feet up, sit back and relax because the craft is on Autopilot.
  • ConfigMgr High Availability – Robert Marshall
  • Configuration Manager and Microsoft OMS – Peter Egerton
    • OMS has often been described as the modern day System Center product. This session will show where OMS and Configuration Manager meet, how to connect them and what we can do from there.
  • Experience Microsoft SCCM the smart way: Manage Mac & PC – via a single console – Parallels
    • Macs are spreading in Enterprise. Learn how to reduce security risks and ensure compliance – the smart way.
Leverage Microsoft SCCM which has more than 70% marketshare in Europe – and it does speak Mac thanks to Parallels Mac Management v6.
Imagine the possibilities of Mac and PC being managed together – standardized around one management platform – securely, compliant and efficient without compromise.

All of this is brought to you courtesy of WMUG in partnership with Parallels. Without companies like Parallels these days simply would not be possible and our thanks go out to those guys. Please do check out their products at https://www.parallels.com
