As detailed on the Microsoft EM+S blog yesterday, Microsoft have now added a new and improved troubleshooting feature to the Microsoft Intune portal.
As you can see in the screenshot above you can get a ‘resultant set of policy’ type view for a specific Intune user. Also if you add a user that has no license enabled it will also make that clear to you with the exclamation.
As Microsoft have outlined in the post, with the RBAC capabilities added to Intune back in August 2017 you can assign the troubleshooting to the support guys with the Helpdesk Operator role for example.
As you may know I’m an author of the Troubleshooting System Center Configuration Manager book so am a keen fan of seeing improvements like this to Intune. For many people troubleshooting Intune has long been a bit of a black box situation and for those spoilt with the depth of log files in SCCM it can be often frustrating.
