If you haven’t seen the parent post for this article, jump back here to see a complete list of all new features in Configuration Manager 1902.
This post covers the specific additions and improvements to the application management features that were added to Configuration Manager 1902.
Improvements to app approvals via email
A further addition to the improvements made to the approval process in 1810 is to add the comment field from the approval request, into the email that can now be generated by the approval process. Simple, but neat.
Improvements to Package Conversion Manager
Package conversion manager was out of pre-release and into ‘full’ feature from 1810 and Microsoft have made more improvements to this in 1902. Now we also have:
- Scheduled package analysis will now run every 7 days by default
- We now have PowerShell cmdlets for analysing and converting packages. I think this will be really useful for many organisations and consultants.
- General bug fixes and improvements. I have no specifics on these yet but good it’s good to see.
