Update 1606 for Configuration Manager Tech Preview is now available through the Updates and Servicing node of your Configuration Manager Technical Preview installation.
- ConfigMgr as a managed installer with Device Guard(https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/enterprisemobility/2016/06/20/configmgr-as-a-managed-installer-with-win10/)
- Cloud Proxy Service
- Grace period for application and software update deployments
- Multiple device management points for Windows 10 Anniversary Edition devices
There is also a new feature for allowing users to choose Device Categories when enrolling with Intune in Hybrid mode (with ConfigMgr).
I recommend you installing this in a lab and giving it a go. Configuration Manager tech preview shows you the new features and lets you mark off new features as you’ve tried them out. It’s a great workspace addition to the console to help you learn new features. There is also the Feedback option dotted around the console which takes you to the user voice website where you can share your ideas with the Configuration Manager product group.
I also expect that Aaron Czechowksi from the Configuration Manager product group will be covering some of these new features at our up and coming WMUG 10th anniversary event. If you haven’t registered to attend this FREE event yet then please do so – http://wmug.co.uk/c/e/10
If you want to install Configuration Manager Technical Preview for the first time, the installation bits (currently based on Technical Preview 1603) are available on TechNet Evaluation Center.
